No big surprises here. I’ll see them as taxi cabs soon.

The Mercedes Benz styling department is getting back on form, I like the look of this.

They managed to make their cars dynamic yet elegant looking which I always thought BMW had perfected. I just recently saw the new E Class for the very first time and I liked it, although current Mercedes sedans/saloons or whatever you want to call them look a bit too similar.

That's pretty much my thoughts right there^

Here is my opinion regarding their designs. I think MB needed everyone to buy into this new, curvier design after years of angular designs dominating their line up. Now that the public has accepted (maybe reluctantly) the new design language they will now differentiate the cars again for the upcoming face lifts or redesigns.

This design philosopy worked for them in the 70s, 80s and early 90s.

I’ll take a bit less wheel diameter in exchange for some sidewall, please. That looks like it would have an unnecessarily rough ride.

Otherwise, it’s an E-class wagon. I want it, but I can’t afford it.

Don’t you want to afford it or can’t you simply afford it? It sucks that they lose about 40% or more of the original msrp but still way out of my budget.

Trust me, E Classes never have unnecessarily rough rides outside of AMG variants.

Elegance version looks good too with a standing star.

In combination with the wheels.. not bad. At least Mercedes still offers the three pointed star for some of their cars.

Out of budget, but I would love to have one.

We have a 2008 Passat wagon and that’s plenty fancy for our budget. We have no garage or driveway, and I can’t imagine what the insurance would be to street park an E-class wagon in a high-density neighbourhood of Montreal. The only reason we can afford the Passat’s insurance is ‘cause the agent screwed up in our favour - we’re paying as little as half of what we should be!

Street parking sucks ass for real. But good thing with the insurance.
